My Version.....

My Version this week is how to wear all white and who other than Ms. Lisa Raye to show us how to do it. She is known for the all white look on a day to day bases. Lisa has shown us numerous occasions how to wear white and how to make it look good in any season. She is not only an actress, but she holds many hats such as mother, model, entrepreneur, producer, etc. Now here is my version of her icon all white look.

It's My Birthday I'll Cry if I want to....

This pass weekend I celebrated my birthday with a host of  family and friends. They made me feel so special and loved. This was definitely a birthday to remember. I love everyone that took part in the festivities.  It started on Friday where one of my friends came over and blind folded me and took me to Gregorio's where all my friends were waiting to surprise me. Then they took me to an ice rink because I never been. After that we went to see "Get Out". Then on Sunday ( my actual b-day) my husband surprised me with a day all about me.  When I went to work on Monday my friends/coworkers decorated my desk and bought me lunch (Popeyes), cake and balloons. Then today one of my friends took me out for dinner since she couldn't make anything else. Here are some photos of this past weekend.

Happy St. Patricks Day.....

In the spirit of St. Patrick's day I decided to dress in green. Let me just say I love the color green. I went with this outfit it was so comfortable. I paired it with this jean shirt because it acts as a neutral and goes with any color. Guess what  my birthday is coming!!!!!! I can't wait I will post some pictures from this weekend very soon. Smile...

Sometimes we just need to smile. I know life doesn't always go our way, but remember it could be  worst. When someone asks me "hows your day?" I often say "not too bad I can't complain". The reason I say that is because though I have been through some hardships in my life I try not to let that get me down. I use to be the girl who wouldn't even take pictures because I didn't like my smile and felt I didn't have too much to smile about. Then I realize that I had too much in life to not smile. I smile because I'm happy, alive, well, and just simply blessed. I can't stress enough how happy I am right now because I feel like I finally have control over my life and who I am as a person. Until you feel the confidence and the strength within yourself you won't have that reason to smile. Just know your not alone and allow the people around you in. I feel in order to have that smile you have to let people in and let it all out. Don't let life stress you because life is too short.
