Rebel....

  

One night the husband and I went to a party my sister was throwing. I decided to go with something a little different. I chose something that would be simple but cute at the same time. I also did my hair in Bantu knots and put a little eyeliner on. This hairstyle is my go to when going to events. Its very easy... I might do a post on them in the future. In this outfit I felt like a Rebel (hence the title) because it was a little dark for me.

So as we know Fall is here.  I decided to pull out a pair of pants my husband picked out. As a child I hated anything floral because we had to wear those type of dresses with the tablecloth floral print and they had lace around the collar. I usually don't go for floral prints, but  I actually like this print because it screams Fall to me. I paired it with my burnt orange peasant top, denim vest, and caramel colored cowboy booties. I hope you feel inspired to try some floral prints if not just to go out of the box and do or wear something that's not the norm.

Black and Yellow

So one weekend we were visiting family and we were bored, so we decided to go for a walk.  They lived in Alexandria so we drove down to the Mount Vernon Trail . We were excited because the trail started near the Reagan National Airport . The planes were flying over our heads and the weather was perfect. We visited several memorials Abraham Lincoln,George Washington,  Martin Luther King Jr., and many more. On the trail we stopped and took pictures. While on this trail I saw a statue and a weeping willow tree (I'm obsessed with these trees), I thought it would be the perfect place to take some pictures. So if you ever get a chance to visit Washington, D.C. you should try this trail  just remember this trail is not for you to dress cute... trust me I know. Just a heads up it is an 18 mile trail so wear comfortable shoes or take a bike.
The outfit I had on that day was nowhere near appropriate for the trail but then again I was told it was a short trail.

Fall is finally here!!!!!!!!So you already know that its time to bring out the scarfs, jackets, and boots. The weather was so perfect, not too hot or not too cold. So I decided to throw this outfit together just to go to the store. I kept it simple but still made it seem fashionable.

Food Network

So I have recently fell in love with this Food Network app. It's a life saver especially if you don't necessarily have the best cooking skills. I have used this app and created many dishes.... that I love. I have even recommended this to friends, family and co workers. You can type in anything and some type of recipe will come up. Also, if you watch the Food Network channel and you have a favorite chef they have a section for that as well . I like this app so much because they think of everything from that person who loves to bake to the health conscience person.

Married Life....

After almost 10 years and two kids the love of my life and I finally tied the knot. We took a trip down to our local Justice of Peace and now you can call me Mrs.Smith (Its official!!!!!). We then had a wonderful reception on the Rooftop deck of  Palette at Arts District apartment complex.  Where Famous Dave provided the catering, Vizions of Virtue provided the decor, Sevans Creations provided the wonderful cake, Rowdy Girls Entertainment provided the music for the night, and Control Video provided the lighting. We danced the night away and enjoyed all our guest.
