Seeing this definition stopped me in my tracks. The reason was because I've heard so many people have insecurities because they don't fit the meaning of perfect. I was one of them; I felt like because I didn't have the longest hair, a six pack or the flattest stomach, the best job and the best car that I had nothing to offer. I have learned over the years that these things will come but it doesn't define who you are as a person. I was in a dark place once upon a time where I felt that everything in my life was going wrong to the point where I had thoughts of harming myself. I got myself out of this funk by just simply saying to myself (in the mirror) "your worth more, your not perfect,your who you were meant to be".This got me through a lot of my low times. I had to realize that perfect was boring and that I couldn't be the image that I had in my head. I just basically needed to stay positive and remind myself that I'm loved, special, and that no one can take my joy away. So ladies I say its a new year lets learn how to love ourselves more and make sure we help out our fellow sisters. Also, make sure you surround yourself around positive people. My husband and friends were my rocks through this process. My husband no matter what changes my body or mind went through he has always told me that I was beautiful and that I mean the world to him. So remember "how you gonna love someone else, if you can't love yourself".
