Let Me Reintroduce Myself...

Hello! I know I know it's been a while since you've heard from your girl.
Since my last post so much has happened I lost my job, then shortly after I found out I was pregnant (now I am a mother of three), my five year old was diagnosed with hearing loss in both ears (2018), I became a new member of my church ICOG in Gaithersburg, MD and my husband recently became a member as well.

So that's a recap of my life! I haven't been blogging as much because life just simply got busy and I just didn't feel like it to be honest. It's not as easy as it seems trying to create content and make sure that readers stay engaged with my post. As a creative person and true Pisces I have soooooo many ideas, but don't necessarily know where to start or how to get them all out.

Well as you know the world is going through a tough time dealing with COVID-19 aka Coronavirus so why not start blogging again. I know I have promised before that I will keep posting and I am going to do my best to keep that promise this time.

Thanks and Until next time....Smooches!!!!

I Trust You...

Sometimes we have to sit back and take all of our blessing in and stay humble. At one point I felt like  God had given up on me because everything felt like it was going down hill. I had to do some soul searching and humble myself and know that God had a greater purpose for me. I recently was blessed with an opportunity and realized that I was being tested in the past to make sure I was ready for what he had prepared for me.

We get so side tracked and forget what is most important to us family, friends, and life. I'm not trying to preach (as I have said in other post), I just believe that you have to have faith and trust God or trust in yourself. I was raised in church so my faith was always there I just lost sight of it. I am ready to let God continue to bless me and my family.

Remember to always stay humble and remember to much is given much is required.

The Opposite.....

On today's blog post I will be discussing one way to wear a jumpsuit. First, let me tell you how I came across this comfortable and fashionable jumpsuit. I was in the mall one day because I was trying to find an outfit for my aunts 60th masquerade birthday party. I originally went to what I thought was a more reasonable place but didn't find anything. So I decided to go to Forever21 which was right across from the other store. I went up and down the store and as I was about to leave something caught my eye it was a faux suede mauve colored jumpsuit which I immediately fell in love with it. I then started to go through the rack to find my size and saw that they also had it in a smokey gray color. I was so excited because I wanted something different since I had chosen pink for two other events I went to earlier in the year and it was now fall. So I was already sold on the color but when I saw the price ($19.99) I was even more in love. To be honest what really sold me was the look on the sales girl (in the fitting room) face, she had stopped in the middle of her conversation just to give me a compliment and it felt good because I have my little insecurities (my stomach). So fast forward I wanted to do a post on another way I can wear this without having to dress it up but still making it fashionable. I will post the other look on my Instagram @mrs.smith9415.

It Ain't Easy.....

People seem to think that once you get married that everything will be perfect and that you still don't have to go through trails and tribulations. Well I'm here to tell you that  is not always the case. When you get married no matter how long you have been with someone or how much you think you know your spouse you still have some learning to do. Now I'm not saying its all bad but I believe it is a test to show how much you love a person. No matter what form of relationship your in it will have its ups and downs but its how you handle the situations/scenarios that will make you come out stronger. So remember that because things look good on the outside doesn't mean that people do not go through whatever to get to where their suppose to be.

Mixing it up......

Happy Friday Eve!!! Today I'm going to show you how to mix the old with the new. If you remember back to last year when I mention that my mother in law gifted me with some of her old jackets, well I snag this cute zip up denim jacket. Then a couple of months ago my good friend Myka surprised me and wanted to gift me with this cute summer dress. So one day I was in my closet and saw them next to each other and thought it would look good together. It was perfect for the type of weather we were having. The lesson in this is that you don't have to buy anything new just mix your pieces/ items together.

Leopard.....

As everyone knows leopard is one of my favorite prints, I have scarves, cardigans, etc. I wanted to display my cardigan (previously styled another way) with my dress from Fashion Nova because the contrast of the high low affect. I didn't realize how my dress is high in the front and low in the back and my cardigan is the opposite (truly perfect match). I also decided to do a head wrap (didn't feel like doing my hair... lol!) and I believe this all came together perfectly.

The Bold and Beautiful.....

For this post I decided to step out of my comfort zone and wear a bodysuit. I have always wanted one, of course I have had my insecurities because my body isn’t necessarily on point.  The reason I actually bought the bodysuit in the first place was because I had an 80"s themed birthday party I was going to. So I went to a local shop call Gussini's and found the perfect one (only $14.99). When I tried it on I was like now I see why people love these, it was comfortable and it's a nice sweater like material. I paired it with this camouflage bomber because besides leopard it is one of my favorite prints. So I can't say this enough step out of the box and take a chance because you will never know what or how something will turn out.
