My Bday....

Last weekend I celebrated my birthday. I turned 27 years old .... getting close to 30 yikes!!!! I spent it with family and friends. My husband, kids, mother-in-law and I celebrated during the week with crab legs (my favorite). My wonderful mother-in-law woke up that Saturday and made me (and the rest of the family) a birthday breakfast. Then later we met up with family and friends. We went to Nantucket Reef our new favorite restaurant and Sip 'N paint at VisArts both are located in Rockville,Md. Then on yesterday my lovely coworkers decorated my desk and gave me gifts as well. I was very thankful and very happy because everyone that played a part made me feel very special. So here are some pictures from the events and the past of me!!!!!!!!!!

Bantu Knots......

One day my daughter came to me and ask if I could do Bantu Knots in her hair. I got so excited because I always wanted to do her hair like this, but she never really liked it. So to my surprise she finally asked me and I got so excited. This is my go to hair style when I don't want to do anything to my hair for a while. I shampooed and condition her hair first. And then the journey continue......

Then I massage in extra virgin olive oil and also comb it out.

.
Then I part it into sections and I put Cantu curl activator cream, Ecostyler gel w/Argan oil, and Blue magic grease.

Once I put the products on the section I two strand twist her hair.

I twist the hair one at a time, then I take the hair and roll it into a ball, while in the process I grease the scalp as I go.

After I'm done I spray Olive oil and then WALA!!!!!!!!

So hopefully you get inspired to try this hairstyle for yourself.
Until next time..........Smooches!!!!!!!!!!

V-Day......

So this year I tried to do something out of the box for my husband for Valentine's day. So with the the help from a few friends I decided to take my husband on the Odyssey Cruise (the tour of D.C.). At first it was a surprise, but than I accidentally slipped and told my husband about the cruise. One of my friends said "why don't we do a double date" and "I was like yes that would be perfect since we don't hangout often". So us being women we immediately decided we were going to wear red dresses, but the cold weather crept up on us and we decided to wear pants. We were trying to be out of the house by a certain time (didn't happen), the men being them we made it .... they were driving like bats out of hell. Once we got there we went to the ticket booth to claim our tickets and then boarded the vessel. Once they took our tickets they took us to our seats. We were able to put our stuff down and then get in line for food. Now I'm a girl who loves food the food was good , but it was a little fancy for me. We went on the brunch cruise so I expected more breakfast like foods. There was music playing and dancing. A guy proposed to his girl friend, they shouted out all couples that were celebrating there anniversary, birthdays and more. The staff was wonderful they even got in on the line dances. The ship was so relaxing and the monuments were nice. Afterwards we went to the movie theater and saw Ride Along 2 at Montgomery mall new theater.
