It's COLD!.......

This past Sunday the weather decided it wanted to be cold so I had to pull out my big thick scarf. I didn't want to pull out my thick coat just yet so I pull out my army fatigue bomber jacket that I got at Forever21 (on sale for $6.00). It wasn't necessarily the best coat to wear for this weather, but I paired it with a sweater to keep me warm. I wore this outfit to Walmart to pick up a few things for the week.

Preppy.....

This weekend was a very crazy. I say that because the weather was nice one day and cold the next. We went to a family event which was the start of  Christmas season for us. The purpose of the party was to exchange names for secret Santa. Afterwards we went out to eat at Pizza Hut and we had a ball. The kids had so much fun seeing their cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and great grandfather that they didn't want to leave. I was trying to go for preppy or at least my version of preppy. This outfit was very comfortable and it felt effortless.

Feeling a little Boho........

One night I had to go to an event at my daughter's school and I decided to throw on my favorite sleeveless cardigan. I just wanted to look simple and not to over done. I also put on some eye shadow and eyeliner on just to feel like a grown up. I paired it with my combat boots, white t-shirt, and khaki jeggings. The event went well it was for international night they had different foods and information on different countries. We left full from trying all the food, but it was also educational. I walked away learning a lot and I'm pretty sure my daughter did as well.

Redskins vs. New Orleans Saints

This weekend was very relaxing. We mostly chilled in the house and watched movies. Then on Sunday we went to the Redskins vs. Saints football game at the Fed Ex stadium (aka "Redskins Stadium"). The night before we went to Modell Sporting Goods to find something to wear. We found two shirts that were similar in color (we wanted to match) and then we decided that we would wear black with them. So we woke up that day on a mission that we will be out the door by eleven o'clock. Guess what we actually made it out of the house on time. Of course there was still traffic near the stadium because everyone was trying to figure out which direction to go in or find parking. Luckily, we had a parking pass so we can be near the stadium. As we pulled up my husband notice some people he works with. We had some drinks and shared a little conversation. After that we made our way into the stadium and the place was crawling with people. We stopped at Papa John's and got something to eat and made our way to the escalator to go to our club level seats. We finally made it to our seats and it was like the perfect seating. We were in the sun so we weren't cold but I do wish I had bought my sunglasses. We had so much fun and and the Skins ended up winning our first time there. My husband said we were there good luck charm. We liked it so much that were thinking about going again.

Work Related.....

You might not know this about me, but I like to dress up in dress pants. I know it's weird but it makes me feel like a grown up. I was so excited when I started my new job because we can dress up. These pictures are old so I'm going to apologize for them being blurry. The outfit was inspired by the mustard color shoes I have on. Enjoy!!!!!!!!

Two Ways........

I've been wanting to start a fashion blog for the longest time, but didn't know where to start. I knew I had to take pictures (so some of these pictures are old). So I was going through my photos and notice I had on the same pants in two of my pictures. I loved these pants, but sad to say I had to give them away because I'm not the same size I was before I had my youngest daughter. Its more like a spring themed outfit but I wear my clothes in all seasons ( as long as its appropriate).

Date Night......

I was inspired to put this outfit together because the husband and I will be attending a Redskins football game on Sunday. Trust I'm not a big sports fan, but he won tickets from his job and it will be the first time either of us have been to a football game. Then I thought about it and even though we have club level seats its going to be cold. So I thought it would be a good date night outfit whether it's the movies or out to dinner.  It's very comfortable and simple. I will do another post of our adventure and let you guys know how our experience goes.

ShopKick.....

So I have been in love with this app for the past year in a half called Shopkick.  Shopkick is an app that you can earn points by just walking in, shopping, and scanning  items. This app is so much fun and I've told several people about it. It's like a scavenger hunt and I sometimes get the kids involve and we have a contest on who can find the items. This was also a blessing because I was a stay at home mom for about a year and I didn't have any income. I say that because how it works is once you earn points you can exchange them for rewards anything from gift cards to a cruise. I was able to give gift cards for Christmas to my kids, husband, and mother-in-law. Some people don't know this but you can earn points by going through the editors books (which are little books that showcase different items). Also they let you know which sales are going on. So go check this out and have fun while doing.
